ASPEK GRAMATIKAL DALAM KUMPULAN CERPEN 1 PEREMPUAN 14 LAKI­LAKI KARYA DJENAR MAHESA AYU

Abstract

Analyzing the discourse in this era is very important and necessary to balance the development of discourse in society. Discourse develops its existence through many aspects in society, for instance through printing or electronic media intended to gain the various goals. The purpose of this study was to describe and explain the grammatical cohesion found in short story “1 Perempuan 14 Laki-laki” written by Djenar Mahesa Ayu. The result of this research showed that the presence of expression was very important for short story. A good discourse must have cohesion, which dealt with meaning that connets among substances in the text. By providing the grammatical cohesion, the short story will be easily understood by the readers. The grammatical aspect highly influences on the discourse of a short story. The various tools of grammatical cohesion in short story “1 Perempuan 14 Laki-laki”are put approprately to support the stories inside.
