PROTES SOSIAL DALAM KITAB TIGA LAKON DRAMA DARI JAWA TIMUR KARYA AKHUDIAT, ANAS YUSUF, DAN MEIMURA

Abstract

The objective of this study is to describe and explain the forms of social protest against the concept of social stability and culture in “Kitab Tiga Lakon Drama dari Jawa Timur”. The method of the research was descriptive qualitative which focused on a sociological approach to literature. Based on the study result, it can be concluded that: first, the form of protest against the concept of social stability in “Kitab Tiga Lakon Drama dari Jawa Timur” was characterized by the individual’s attitude in addressing the escalation of change by calling for a protest vote on the phenomenon and irregularities that occur in life. Second, the form of protest against the culture of the people was characterized by the attempt to liberate themselves from inheritaged identity, attempt to represent themselves as representatives of the era who tried to be “self-cleaning” of conservative tradition, trying to socialize themselves to constantly equal to the time.
