BIAS GENDER DALAM FRAGMEN CERITA SEJARAH IZINKAN SAYA MENIKAHINYA

Abstract

This research is aimed at describing the discourse gender bias that found in the film. The method used was qualitative research and designed as critical discourse analysis, based on feminism. The approach used was macrostructural. The result of the study showed that the context of story fragment in film “Izinkan Saya Menikahinya” represented gender bias discourse, specifically in marginalizing woman. The men were dominated compared to the women. Gender bias discourse found in the film covered gender bias in human’s right, gender bias in human’s role, function and profession. Gender biases discourse found in the film were parts of the construction of Indonesian history at 1965.
