GAYA UNGKAP RANGGAWARSITA DALAM PUISI­PUISINYA ȍSUATU TINJAUAN STILISTIKA, SIKTAKSIS, DAN SEMANTIKȎ

Abstract

The research was purposed to explore, interpret, and define the diction, syntax deflection, and also exploring semantically in poems (tembang) created by Raden Ngabehi Ranggawarsita. This research used a qualitative approach. The background of this research was stylistic that focused on aspects of language, such as diction, style, and also the processing of clause forms in poems (tembang) created by Raden Ngabehi Ranggawarsita. The result of research showed that the poets of literature genre of Central Java (literary period) were not able to compose freely. They were constrained by poetic mater rules that must be obeyed. Therefore, there were deception of language, diction coercion, and also shifting of syntactic patterns. Thefactors were often undermined the meaning of the poem, if those were explored simply. Then the researcher would like try to explore the reasons that appear due to the poetic mater coercion.
