Abstract

This research aims to find out how language is used in public speaking techniques applied by Sherly Annavita Rahmi on YouTube social media. The main focus of this article is to analyze how Sherly Annavita Rahmi uses word choice, sentence structure, intonation and language style to influence the audience through public speaking techniques. The research method used is the Descriptive Qualitative Analysis Research Method, where this research uses data collection by making direct observations of research objects on YouTube social media. This research shows that the use of language in the public speaking techniques used is very effective in influencing the audience. This is shown by positive interactions and comments in the discussion column, an increase in the number of likes and positive reactions, shares or reposts of videos, as well as retention and re-watching rates which show that the use of language in Sherly Annavita Rahmi's public speaking technique is one of the keys to success that is able to move audience to make changes and innovate.
