NILAI PERJUANGAN TOKOH UTAMA NOVEL SARIFAH KARYA DUL ABDUL RAHMAN

Abstract

Sarifah novel written by Dul Abdul Rahman contains Barra Tobarani’s struggle for the public land from the expansion of Lonsum Ltd. Various attempts were made by Barra Tobarani, for instance by forming TobaraniNGO. This study aimed to describe the struggle of Barra Tobarani in maintaining and struggling againstLonsum Ltd plantation. The method used was descriptive qualitative, which means the data were words or phrases, would be translated in the analysis, while the design was descriptive qualitative. The results of the research were the struggle’s of Barra Tobarani to maintain public land and against the rubber plantation, Lonsum Ltd. The forms of struggle were the form of motivating for the people to defend their land and pioneering acts against the action of rubber tree logging by Lonsum Ltd.
