Overcoming writing difficulties in high level education such as STKIP PGRI Ponorogo, is very crucial. If those teachers candidate did not have sufficient writing skill, they cannot teach professionally. This Collaborative Classroom Action Research is aimed to find out how TUKRI technique be implemented to improve the fourth semester students’
ability in writing expository essays in academic year 2014/2015. Based on the analysis of the teaching and learning process, and students’ essays at the end of the Cycle Two, students’ active participation has achieved the criteria of success which is 70%. Furthermore, the average of students’ writing score at the end of Cycle two has achieved the criteria of success which is 80. Based on the findings, there are nine steps proposed to implement TUKRI technique to improve the fourth semester students’ ability in writing expository essays.
