TINGKAT KEMAMPUAN PENGUASAAN BAHASA JAWA RAGAM KRAMA KELOMPOK ANAK DAN DEWASA

Abstract

This study is aimed to find out the level of Bahasa Jawa mastery krama
variation in Ambulu district, Jember, Dawarblandong district, Mojokerto and Jebres
district, Surakarta. The researcher used qualitative approach with purposive sampling
technique and comparative method. The data collected from 10 informans through note
taking and recording. The result of study showed the level of krama variation mastery
DP 2 (83%), level 2 DP 1 (87%) and the last was level 1, DP 3 (Solo) 91%. Solo as the
center of Bahasa Jawa showed that the children group were lack in mastering Bahasa
Jawa. In the level 3, the mastery of Bahasa Jawa in adult group were (DP 3) 65%, (DP
1) 74%, and (DP 2) 76%. Based on the result of study, the education level didn’t
influence the mastery of krama variation in Bahasa Jawa, both in children and adult
group. Meanwhile, the education level influenced the mastery of krama variation in
teenager group.
