PERAN GURU BAHASA INDONESIA SEBAGAI PEMBANGUN KEPRIBADIAN SISWA

Abstract

Bahasa Indonesia has the important position in building the nation character. It can be seen from the function of Bahasa Indonesia as the unifier language and official lalnguage. Based on its positions, the role of language teachers is very important, that is to crystallize the values within the language for the students. The teacher of Bahasa Indonesia should be the professional teacher who has four competencies: pedagogic, personality, social, and professional. That is why, the language teacher must be able to use language appropraietely. That ability must be relized in daily life, not only in the theortical level. Therefore, the teacher of Bahasa Indonesia should be the role model for their students.
