Abstract

Colonialism can reduce public civility, reduce the moral ethics, and lead to the loss of nationalism. Nationalism is all forms of thought and effort that allegiance and sincere the devotion to the nation, to defend the nation independence. The purpose of this research is to reveal the traces of nationalism in the novel Rahuvana Tattwa (RT) by Agus Sunyoto, which are realized by the loyalty of colonial society, community resistance colony, and the raising of unity in public colony. The analysis of this study showed that there were traces of nationalism RT colonial society which included (1) Loyalty to the nation's of the colonial society with regard to the fearlessness, sacrifice, love of the homeland, and defend the national ideology; (2) Resistance against the invaders by the colonized peoples; and (3) the raising of community united colonies between regions to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and the struggle to defend the nation.
