RELIGIUSITAS DALAM NOVEL BIDADARI BERMATA BENING KARYA HABIBURRAHMAN EL SHIRAZY

Abstract

Bidadari Bermata Bening novel is one of Habiburrahman El Shirazy’s works which is well known enough. This study aimed at describing religiosity values (ideological, ritualistic, and consequential) within Bidadari Bermata Bening novel. The method used in this study was a qualitative descriptive method, designed as literary study. Thus, the data in this study were sentences or paragraphs taken from the object under study. The data collection techniques employed in this study were reading and taking notes, reviewing content and categorizing. This study used several stages of data analysis techniques, namely the classification, analysis, evaluation, and conclusion drawing. Based on the results of analysis, Bidadari Bermata Bening novel displayed (i) the value of ideological religiosity, presented in the form of the Islamic belief in one God and the belief in the existence of God himself, (ii) the form of ritualistic religiosity realized in the form of five daily prayers, Dhuha prayer, Istikharah prayer, reading the Qur’an and praying, (iii) the form of consequential religiosity realized in the form of gratitude, help each other and uphold the truth.
