Nilai Religius Tokoh Utama Pada Novel Sri Danarti Karya Nana Tandez

Abstract

The novel Sri Danarti by Nana Tandez is a novel that contains religious values which are expressed through the characters in the story. This novel also provides an understanding of the relationship between humans and God, humans with fellow humans and humans with nature. This understanding is very relevant to be applied in everyday life. Based on this premise, the researcher is interested in examining the religious value of the main character of the novel Sri Danarti. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The data was taken from the novel with the note-taking technique. The data were then analyzed descriptively using interactive techniques consisting of presentation, data reduction, and drawing conclusion. The results show that there are religious values of the main character in his relationship with God, fellow human beings and the natural surroundings. The form of religiosity towards God is represented in an attitude of praying to God, a feeling of sin towards God, and an attitude of submission to God. The form of religiosity towards fellow human beings is represented in the attitude of mutual help, true love, and good prejudice towards others. Meanwhile, religiosity towards the natural surroundings is represented in the attitude of willingness to read the realities of the world and acknowledge natural phenomena.
