Pencitraan dalam Lirik Lagu Album Best of The Best Iwan Fals

Abstract

Best of the Best is one of the Iwan Fals’ albums which contains a collection of selected songs from the previous album, Pesan untuk Kekasih Tercinta. The purpose of this study was to describe the imagery in the lyrics of the album Best of the Best Iwan Fals. The method used in this study was descriptive qualitative. Methods of data collection in research conducted using techniques note taking and literature study. The theory used in this study was stylistics. Based on the result of analysis, the imagery found in the album was classified into below; (1) visual imagery used in the whole songs (ten songs) of the album, entitled Ku Menanti Seorang Kekasih, Entah, Mata Indah Bola Pingpong, Galang Rambu Anarki, Kemesraan, Orang Pinggiran, Antara Aku Kau dan Bekas Pacarmu, Ethiopia, Belum Ada Judul and Sarjana Muda, (2) auditory imagery was used on all song except Belum Ada Judul song, (3) chinestetic imagery only found in four out of ten songs, entitled Entah, Kemesraan, Antara Aku Kau dan Bekas Pacarmu, and Sarjana Muda, and (4) tactil imagery found in only one song, that was Belum Ada Judul. The olfractory imagery was not found in the ten songs of the Best of the Best Iwan Fals.
