Pengaruh Permainan Jepit Angka terhadap Kemampuan Berhitung Anak Usia Dini

Abstract

Mathematics, especially counting is a difficult thing to study for the early childhood children. Learning mathematics at AUD requires an attractive learning media tool for the children. This learning media is really needed by educators to attract the children’s interest in receiving material. The aim of this research is to find out whether “Jepit Angka“ game has an influence on the children’s numeracy ability in TK Muslimat NU 089 Kepatihan. This study used an experimental method with one group pretest posttest research design. The data collection techniques used observation. The data was then analyzed using simple paired t-test. The results showed a significant influence on the development of children’s numeracy ability. The results of the pretest and posttest scores were significantly increased. From the pretest, the result was 57.25 and from the posttest the result was 75.00. It can be concluded that “Jepit Angka” game has an influence on the children’s numeracy ability. It is hoped that the use of “Jepit Angka” game can develop children's numeracy ability adjusted to the activity criteria and the children's age level.
