Abstract

Colored stone media can be used as an option to support the angle of children’s cognitive improvement. In this study, the researchers focused on colored stone media to strengthen children’s cognitive development, especially the presentation of colors, estimates, and shapes of objects. This study aims to determine the impact of colored stone playing media towards cognitive development on 3-4 years old children. The method used in this study is a pre-experiment with the One Group Pretest-Posttest design. This research was conducted in KB. An Nur Kanor, Bojonegoro. The population in this study amounted to 18 children in KB An Nur Kanor Bojonegoro. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique. Data was collected through observation and documentation techniques. The data analysis technique used table analysis, Wicoxon sign, and non parametric test analysis. The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of colored stones on the cognitive development of children 3-4 years before being given the activity of playing colored stone media and after being given the activity of playing colored stone media.
