Abstract

The background of this research is the lack of kindergarten students’ ability to express stories using pronoun: I, we, you, he or she. This research aims to know the effectiveness of macro role play method on students’ storytelling ability in Jannatun Na’im RA Muslimat 016 Mayak Tonatan Ponorogo. This research used Classroom Action Research (CAR). It was done in two cycles. Every cycle consisted of planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The technique of collecting data used observation referring to the observation evaluation sheet and documentation of teaching learning process. The data was analyzed using qualitative descriptive technique. The research result showed that the application of macro role play method can increase students’ ability to express stories using pronoun: I, we, you, he or she. The first cycle percentage was 55, 5% and the second cycle was 83, 3%. From the research result can be concluded that macro role play method was effective to increase students’ storytelling ability.
