Strategi Pembelajaran Unggah-Ungguh Bahasa Jawa Pada Generasi Milenial Sebagai Upaya Pemertahanan Nilai Budi Pekerti

Abstract

Politeness the Javanese language is a form of local wisdom related to how to respect other people. Unggah-ungguh in Javanese society is still considered as an important thing and even used as a measure to label someone is ethical and has good etiquette or not. This study aims to describe the up-and-coming learning strategy of Javanese language for millennial generation through the youth organization Karang Taruna in Purworejo Regency. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method by describing the phenomena that occur in the people of Purworejo Regency, especially in using the Javanese highest variety (krama). Methods of collecting data by means of interviews, direct observation, questionnaires and documentation. The results of this study are in the form of Javanese language upload learning strategies that can be applied in the community directly, namely through organizing habits, regular meetings and daily conversations. Politeness as the ancestral heritage of the Javanese as a means of inculcating character values to the younger generation must be preserved and carried out with laras and leres.
