Komodifikasi dan Eksistensi Jaranan Sentherewe Tulungagung: Studi Kasus Pada Kelompok Jaranan Turonggo Jengki

The development of jaranan sentherewe in Tulungagung is not only for the purpose of the beauty of the form of presentation, but is more driven by economic needs. The jaranan sentherewe Turonggo Jengki group is one of the jaranan groups that has changed its presentation form by prioritizing comedic, attractive or acrobatic elements to seize market share for jaranan performances in Tulungagung. This paper aims to discuss the phenomenon of jaranan sentherewe art in Tulungagung Regency which has developed in the era of globalization. To discuss this phenomenon, the researcher uses observation and interview data collection methods, with Miles and Huberman model data analysis techniques. The data finding from this research is that jaranan sentherewe underwent an overhaul of the concept of the show which was then rearranged by members of the jaranan Turonggo Jengki group. The movement pattern in the jaranan sentherewe dish underwent changes and additions from the motion pattern of the packaged jaranan sentherewe dish. The reshuffle of art into new art is one of the means that the arts still exist and are in demand by the public.
