This study aims to describe the implementation of school-based management (SBM) to improve the quality of education in SD Negeri 182/I Hutan Iindung. The background of this research is based on the need to implement SBM as a decentralized policy in education that gives schools the freedom to manage resources independently, accountably, and transparently. The situation at SD Negeri 182/I Hutan Lindung highlights several key issues in school management, including lack of community participation, suboptimal management of the local curriculum, and lack of resources to support learning. This study uses a qualitative methodology with a descriptive approach. Data was collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis from principals, teachers, school board members, and teaching staff. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles-Huberman model through the process of data reduction, data organization, and conclusion drawn. Data validity is assessed through triangulation of sources and methods.
