This research is motivated by the weak ability to read the Qur’an among young children. One effort to improve this ability is through the implementation of the Yanbu’a method. The Yanbu’a method is an approach in reading, writing, and memorizing the Qur’an by reading directly, correctly, fluently, and continuously, in accordance with the rules of makhrajul huruf (the articulation points of letters). This study aims to examine the implementation of the Yanbu’a method to develop the ability to read hijaiyah letters among young children at PG Muslimat NU 039 Hasan Munadi. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the implementation of the Yanbu’a method is carried out systematically through the stages of planning, implementation, and evaluation. The planning stage involves identifying learning needs, learning methods and media, as well as the initial behavior and characteristics of the child. The implementation stage includes opening, core activities, and closing. The evaluation stage uses formative evaluation conducted directly by observing students on a daily basis. In conclusion, the Yanbu’a method can be an effective alternative for learning to improve the ability to read Hijaiyah letters in early childhood if supported by a conducive learning environment. Based on these findings, it is suggested that institutions continue to develop the ability of early childhood to read Hijaiyah letters with varied learning methods so that children do not
easily get bored and are more focused during learning.
