Based on the observations at TK Kemala Bhayangkari 61 Pulung revealed that some children aged 4–5 years still struggle to express their opinions and lack confidence when speaking. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of flannel boards media in improving young children›s speaking skills, using a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The sample consisted of 20 children divided into two groups (TK A1 and TK A2). The research instrument was an observation sheet validated by experts, and data were analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test and Two-Way ANOVA. The results showed that flannel boards media had no significant effect on children’s speaking ability (Sig. = 0.954 > 0.05), while the children’s initial speaking ability had a significant influence (Sig. = 0.000 < 0.05). The interaction between media and initial ability was also not significant (Sig. = 0.084 >0.05). Thus, flannel boards media was not proven effective in enhancing young childrens speaking skills in this study. Further research is recommended with a larger sample size, longer treatment duration, and more varied instructional strategies for optimal results.
