Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of role-playing methods in early childhood education (PAUD). Through a literature review, it is evident that role playing can significantly foster social emotional development in young children. This research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach by reviewing various recent national journal articles. The collected literature was strictly selected based on topical relevance, source credibility, and the timeliness of the publication. These data were then analyzed in depth to map out key themes, compare previous research findings, and evaluate the overall impact of the role-playing method. The findings suggest that role playing is highly effective in sharpening empathy, cooperation, communication skills, emotional control, and self confidence. Nevertheless, the success of this approach relies heavily on thorough preparation, the teacher›s ability to engage the class, supporting facilities, and a comfortable learning atmosphere. Essentially, this method provides children with authentic experiences as they are directly involved in structured social interactions.
