TINDAK TUTUR DIREKTIF DALAM KUMPULAN CERPEN MEREKA MENGEJA LARANGAN MENGEMIS KOMPAS 2019

Abstrak

The purpose of this study is to describe the form and function of directive speech acts in a collection of short stories Mereka Mengeja Larangan Mengemis Kompas 2019. Data collection techniques in this study used were reading and note-taking technique. After taking note, the researchers grouped and classified the findings. The data analysis technique employed was interactive model, as Miles and Hubberman suggested, consisting of data reduction, data display, and verification. The researchers found six forms of directive speech acts, namely; (i) requestives (functioned for asking, pressing, praying, and inviting); (ii) questions (functioned for asking and interrogating); (iii) requirements (served for directing); (iv) prohibitives (functioned for prohibiting and restricting); (v) permissives (functioned for approving, allowing, and granting); and (vi) advisories (functioned for advising, warning, and suggesting).
