UNSUR INTRINSIK NOVEL SATU JODOH DUA ISTIKHARAH KARYA MA’MUN AFFANY

Abstract

Intrinsic elements are elements that directly build literary works. Intrinsic element can be easily found by the readers. This combination or inter-intrinsic elements make literary works tangible. The purpose of this study was to describe intrinsic elements and inter-intrinsic linkages using structuralism theory. The design of this study used descriptive analytic. The object of this research was a novel entitled Satu Jodoh Dua Istikharah by Ma’mun Affany. The study technique was reading and noting. Data analysis steps were sorting and analyzing according to the formulation of the problem. The results of this study describe the intrinsic element in the form of a straight plot. The story really starts from the beginning, middle and end stages. The main character is Salman. Additional figures include Fatimah, Tania, Abah and Umi Fatimah, Tania’s father and mother, Salman’s sister Salim, Salman’s friend Wisam, and Salman’s secretary Walda. Authors used Surabaya, buildings, hotels, elevators, hotel rooms, Salman houses, Salman offices, brothels, Lamongan, Fatimah houses, Jemursari rented houses (Malang), Fatimah clinics, Wisam restaurants, and hospitals as the place setting. The time were on Wednesday, night, evening and morning. The perspective used was “I”. The moral was don’t be rush in doing something.
