KAJIAN SOSIAL BUDAYA PONDOK PESANTREN DALAM NOVEL KEMBARA RINDU KARYA HABIBURRAHMAN EL SHIRAZY

Abstract

Literature is a unique and interesting work of art, as it has an aspect of its beauty and its message. The research aims to describe the socio-cultural aspects of the santri to the Kyai. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method. So the data in this study are quotations of words and sentences taken from Kembara Rindu novel by Habiburrohman El Shirazy. The reseach findings shows the following aspects; (1) the social aspect of contemporary messaging, includes: the relationship between the santri and the Kyai, the relationship between the Kyai and the santri, the intimacy between the students, and the attitude attached to the ustadz and the santri; and (2) the humble of santri towards Kyai, includes: easy to accept advice, don’t like to insult other people because of their shortcomings, start greetings when meeting other moeslem, do not precede speaking with the teacher except with his permission, do not speak much in front of the teacher, carry out all the teacher’s orders except for immoral orders, speak in a good word.
