Motivation in Life of The Main Character in Sammy’s Adventure: The Secret Passage Movie

Abstract

People will find whatever kinds of problem in life. High motivation is needed to face the life problem. Motivation can come from ourselves and also another factor in human’s life. Love is essential thing in human’s life. Many of event in human’s life are influenced by love. Love also can be motivation for human in facing life and getting new spirit to survive. This study is aimed at exploring motivation in main character’s life in Sammy’s Adventure: The Secret Passage movie. It is done by establishing two objectives: the first is to know the motivation of main character in the movie and the second is to explain how love can be the motivation of Sammy’s life. This research was qualitative research. The technique of collecting data in this research was documentation. Data were analyzed by interactive analysis. There were three main components, data reduction; data display; and drawing and verifying conclusions. The result of this research showed that love and belongingness was dominant need in Sammy’s Adventure: The Secret Passage movie.
