Personality Analysis of Jack Harper’s Character in Oblivion Movie Directed by Joseph Kosinski

Literature is one of tool to express thoughts into beautiful words. People can use literature to identify personality of others. The objective of this research is to describe the personality of Jack Harper’s character in Oblivion movie directed by Joseph Kosinski. This research use descriptive qualitative research based on psychoanalysis theory of Sigmund Freud. Freud divides the structure of personality into three parts that are id, ego and superego. The collecting data in this research use documentation and the analyzing data use content analysis. The researcher found that Jack Harper personalities were id, ego and superego. Id of Jack Harper appeared when he was curious about the truth in his life. His curiosity was strong. It was because he found something new and different. Ego of Jack Harper appeared when he knew that the fact and his desire were different. He also thought about others around him, it showed his superego.
