Mitologi Jawa dalam Novel Karya Ardian Kresna Amangkurat Mendung Memekat di Langit Mataram

Abstract

This study aims to describe Javanese mythology in the novel Amangkurat Mendung Mekat di Langit Mataram by Ardian Kresna. This research belongs to qualitative descriptive study. The data used are in the form of words, sentences, and paragraphs. The data source of this research is the novel Amangkurat Mendung Mekat di Langit Mataram by Ardian Kresna. The research instrument was the researcher himself who was equipped with a set of sociological theories of literature as an analytical knife. The data collection methods and techniques used in this study were non-interactive and read, observe, and note-taking techniques. Data analysis methods and techniques in this study are descriptive methods and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of this study are as follows; (1) types of myths in the form of associative shadows, (2) types of myths in the form of fairy tales, stories, and legends, and (3) types of myths in the form of taboo (something to be avoided). In the novel, myth is still a strong grip on the characters in living life.
