ANALISIS RELIGIUSITAS TOKOH UTAMA NOVEL AIR MATA TUHAN KARYA AGUK IRAWAN M.N.

Abstract

Literature is one branches of art that has aesthetic value created by its author as a way of expressing feelings. One form of literary works is novel. The purpose of the present research is to describe the religiousity of the main character in the novel Air Mata Tuhan by Aguk Irawan M.N. which realized in the form of religious beliefs, religious experiences, and religious behavior. This study uses descriptive qualitative method to analyze Air Mata Tuhan novel by Aguk Irawan M.N. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the main character of the novel has (1) strong religious beliefs on qada’ (destiny), qadar (fact) and Al-Qur’an, (2) religious experience which were getting near—death—experience and improvement of worship ritual, (3) religious behavior is teaching knowledge to others, obedient to husband, and be friendly and patient to others.
