Nilai Moral Kemanusiaan dalam Novel Burung Terbang di Kelam Malam Karya Arafat Nur

Abstract

Literary work always offers morality message related with human characteristics, struggling for human right and status. Author usually exploits life values which author beliefs and flourishs in the environment. The purpose of this reseach was to describe the humanism morality values of the main character in Burung Terbang di Kelam Malam by Arafat Nur. It also aimed to describe the background of the author and the relationship between humanism morality values with the Burung Terbang di Kelam Malam’s author background using genetic stucturalism approach. The design used in this reseach was descriptive qualitative. The result showed problems about the main characters’ humanism morality values in Burung Terbang di Kelam Malam by Arafat Nur. The problems were related to human relationship with his God, fellow being, nature, and his own self. The author’s background was related to social background, education, life, political view, and vice versa.
